Alice MacDermott

Alice MacDermott is an experienced healthcare business and regulatory attorney. She has over thirty years of experience in a broad range of areas including compliance, HIPAA privacy and security,  health insurance (commercial and government programs) and employee benefits.

She has represented academic medical centers and integrated healthcare delivery systems for more than thirty years, focusing on payor and provider issues related to Medicare, Medicaid, and innovative payor arrangements, along with  revenue cycle issues related to reimbursement and appeals.  Alice previously served as  in-house legal counsel for several insurance company holding systems including those owned by a local university and health system, focusing on government programs, self-funded health plans, and legislation, including health care reform.
